Textile and Fashion Collections – Teaching and Research Scoping

Having worked as a fashion curator at the V&A for many years, my recently submitted PhD, a Collaborative Doctoral Partnership with the V&A and UAL, examined many aspects of my former role. My research interests are personal collections of clothing or ‘wardrobes’, museum fashion collecting and nineteenth- and twentieth-century fashion. As a curator my exhibitions include Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion (V&A, 2017) and Fashion Rules: Dress from the collections of HM The Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales (Kensington Palace, 2013).
